New Wii Controler (Dual Shock Wii)

Looks Like Nintendo Finally is realizing that they need to accommodate for non Nintendo games too. With ports trying to map out controls to one of the Wii's many controllers, Nintendo figured they better follow the crowd and base a controller off of the Dual Shock/Xbox controllers. Good job Nintendo, you should have had this from the beginning. However it doesn't look that comfortable compared to the competition. But oh well, baby steps Bob Wii, baby steps.

Top Ten Most Anticipated Video Games of 2009

Following the last two year of great games, 2009 is looking to bring even more into our sweaty hands. Through the years the gaming industy has evolved and matured. I myself have also matured in my view on games. Now I like a game with a great storyline, something that makes me thing and feel for the characters. If you match that with great gameplay, graphics, and experience in general; then you have a good game. This is my list of Games that I'm awaiting for this year. Hopefully they won't let me down

#10. Ghostbusters : The Video Game

Growing up the Ghostbusters brand was one of the coolest things around. Even Hi-C cashed in on them with their Ecto Cooler, possibly the best drink ever made! Fast-forward twenty some years after their beginnings and we have a brand new entry into the universe of slime. It probably won't push the bar up with the visuals, or mechanics. But with the original writers, and voice talent from the movies, this video game should be very enjoyable to a large audience. Lets just hope we get to drive the Ecto-1.

#9. Batman : Arkham Asylum

Ok here's the plot. Batman has been put in a trap in Arkham Asylum, and must work his way through all the baddies to escape. One word, "Awesome". At the new height of bat fever, it seems like nothing Batman can be bad. The new darker Dark Knight seems to be winning audiences everywhere. It relates to a more grownup crowd and I love it. Perfect timing for someone that grew up on batman, through the good times and the bad (any movie between Batman Returns and Batman Begins). But can this game live up to the movies success. Well pit Batman against the likes of: The Joker, Killer Croc, The Riddler, Scarecrow, Mr. Freeze, Bane, The Penguin, and Poison Ivy. Then use the Unreal 3 engine, and you have a pretty decent game.

#8. Resident Evil 5

I'm not a huge Resident Evil fan at all, but I do respect a great game when I see one. This game is going to be huge in terms of story, gameplay, and graphics. Just look at the numbers of preorders and demos downloaded for this game and you can tell that this is going to be something to watch out for. Sure it may not have that great of a leap over RE4, but who cares. That was probably the best looking and best game period last generation, on the Gamecube none the less, and this game will continue to scare more gamers.

#7. Halo 3: ODST

Not too much to say here except it's Halo; one of the best first person shooter franchises ever. I'm sure it won't disappoint in this new story, even if it don't have Master Chief.

#6. Heavy Rain

Not mush is known about this spiritually successor to Fahrenheit, but this graphics juggernaut will impress. With the combination of graphics and great storytelling this game will be one to experience. Hopefully the gameplay will be at the same level as it's highlights

#5. Fight Night Round 4

I can remember playing the Fight Night Round 3 for the first time. It was great! My roommates and I played it for hours and hours, and that was just the demo. If the 4th can bring the same pick up and play fun that the 3rd brought then this is going to be one game not to put down. Plus imagine this, Muhammed Ali vs. Mike Tyson.

#4. Killzone 2

Yes it may be only a day away, but we have been waiting for this game since E3 of 2005. Since that presentation, this game has had to fight the onslaught of criticism that they would never meet the expectations that they set forth for themselves. But look at the game now and compare it to the footage from 2005 and you can say that they did indeed reach that level.

#3. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

Better graphics, check. Refined gameplay, check. Same great storytelling check. It may not be a leap in terms of features but this game is going to impress just like the last one did. I only pick up the first one because I had a slight curiosity, but as soon as I got into it I couldn't put it down. (Spoilers Coming Up) The only gripe I had with the first one was the "zombies" at the end. It felt a lot like the aliens did in the newest James Bond film. But even with them the game still was one of the best games I've played lately

#2. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

As long as Infinity Ward makes Call of Duty games I will buy them. Sorry 3 and WaW, you may still be good games but you don't come close to the work of art that your siblings have put before you. Nothing is known yet abouth this game with exception that it will once again be in modern times. But I'm going to bet that this one will come out as a contender for game of the year

#1. God of War III

High Def God of War, yep I just wet my pants. Put proven gameplay, great graphics, and some new dimensions (moving levels); and you have a must buy game. Oh and those moving levels are Titans! Yes you've played on Titans before but imagine them now moving and climing up a mountain. One second your battling on this great forest, next your holding on for dear life onto a tree that is now horizonrtal. Definatly wet myself again.

My First Blogging Expierience

This is my first attempt at a blog. I can thank David Jaffe for the inspiration. I've been reading his blog for a while now and thought, "What the heck, I might as well try this for myself." I'm going to try to update it with random happenings in my life, reviews of certain games and movies and anything else that interests me.

A little about myself:

I'm a 25 year old, trying to work my way to a college degree and a job in law enforcement. I've had many setbacks along the way, but my spirit will not give up. Right now I work at a bar as a manager/bartender/DJ. I liked the job for a while but now I work more than anyone else and get the worst shifts. I hate my boss, for ethical reasons, and my roommate is the biggest prick that I know. I'd quit but there are not a lot of options out there with this bad economy
